Liu Qianyi, born in 1987 in Beijing, is a visual artist, painter, and director, and holds a Ph.D. from Waseda University, Japan.
She currently lives in Tokyo. Liu’s artistic creations involve painting, photography, video, 3D animation films, and other fields. Liu Qianyi grew up in Japan, and after she returned to China, she felt the vitality of the digital age, as that experienced by the post-80s, in the natural and self-disciplined “voice” of Zhuangzi’s philosophy of “heavenly, earthly and human pipes”, and thus created the three-dimensional animation film Sounds of Nature.
