Josef Achrer

The Czech artist Josef Achrer graduated from the Prague Academy of Fine Arts in 2010 under the guidance of Professor Michael Rittstein. In 2014, he won the Jan Světlík Art Award.
Achrer grasps the essential characteristic of art: that it exists for ideas rather than language. His works visualize mathematical thinking, using data and information as starting points for aesthetic creations. His works are collected by institutions such as the Vaněk Museum, Beijing Times Art Museum, Fait Gallery, and Miroslav Kubík Gallery.
