Silvio Cattani

Silvio Cattani was born in Trento, Italy in 1947. He graduated from the Painting Department of Venice Academy of Fine Arts. As a contemporary artist and educator, Cattani serves as the vice-president of the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Trento and Rovereto (MART) , and the dean of KN Academy of Fine Arts in Italy. In 1993, he was awarded the Italian Knight Medal by the Italian Ministry of Culture to recognize his outstanding contributions to Italian art and education.
Silvio Cattani’s works are characterized by a blend of lyrical and expressionistic elements conveyed through subtle and suggestive means. His art’s diverse forms and vibrant colors captivate viewers, resulting in a unique dialectical expression that effectively communicates multiple but coherent narratives within a single context.
