Hans Op de Beeck, a Belgian visual artist, was born in 1969. His works are created in various forms, including giant sculpture installation, video, animated film, sculpture, painting, photography, short story, and stage design, and his ideas are derived from the transcendence and self-loss in the postmodern period.
He has conceived and built a virtual contemporary urban environment, and he has occasionally included a few characters that are genial to the viewers, with the settings including both quiet areas for introspection and occasionally clumsy crowds. His works reflect our daily life, dreams, aspirations, and our perceptions of time, space, and the interdependence between the two.
