Marta Dell’Angelo was born in 1970. In 1991, she received the professional diploma (Bachelor of Science) in Wood Restoration from the Institute for Restoration, Botticino and finally obtained her degree in Painting from the Fine Arts Academy Brera, Milan.
Her research is centred on the human body with a focus on gesture and posture, explored mainly from an anthropological and existential point of view. She works with a variety of media ranging from painting, video installation, drawing to performance. She has a long standing interest in neuroscience and anthropology and has published works on these subjects.
