Su Chang (b.1985) was born and grew up in Shanghai. He graduated from the Oil Painting Department of Shanghai Normal University in 2007.
Su Chang is committed to using sculptural language as a vehicle for his artistic experimentation. The re-understanding and independent realization of the intrinsic nature of sculpture is a common thread throughout his work. Su Chang hopes to digest and produce a new language based on ordinary visual elements. He uses these works to examine how people vacillate across the intersection of public and personal anxieties, as well as the psychological traces left behind by this ambiguous behavior.
