Sun Liang was born in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province in 1957 and graduated from the Art Design Department of Shanghai Institute of Technology in 1982. Now he works in the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology.
Sun Liang has held many solo exhibitions at home and abroad, including “Sun Liang’s Art” in Indonesia in 2014, “Suspension – Sun Liang’s Solo Exhibition” at the Museum of Contemporary Arts Singapore in 2012, and “Lightning – Sun Liang’s Glass Sculptures Exhibition” at Shanghai Sheng Ling Gallery in 2006. He has also participated in many prestigious group exhibitions around the world. His works have been collected by Shanghai Art Museum, Guangdong Museum of Art, Beijing Today Art Museum in China, as well as Redbull MOCA in Austria and other institutions.
