Wang Hui was born in 1972 in Anhui Province and now lives and works in Shanghai.
He studied at the Department of Sculpture and School of Public Art at China Academy of Art and the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. His art engages with various forms, such as sculpture, installation, theater, and social projects. His recent works make use of different physical media to present and explore the transformations that occur between substance and non-substance, dark energy and existence, thereby allowing for new ways of understanding and experiencing space and existence.
