Yang Sydney was born in 2000 in Lishui, Zhejiang Province, and graduated from Sichuan Fine Arts Institute in 2022.
Paper is her artistic medium of choice. Her paintings often feature a simple and concise way of storytelling on peaceful pictures, with poetic texts often accompanying them. Most of her pieces depict nature — water, trees, sun, stones, ocean, stars, and so on. These childlike, fairy-tale motifs are presented in a new tender form in her work to provide solace for adults.
